Sunday the 28th of May 2017 was that time again. Menstrual Hygiene Day!

Good menstrual hygiene helps girls and women to stay healthy and confident. It helps students to continue learning. Periods should not get in the way of a girls’ chance of a good education. That is what this years’ Menstrual Hygiene Day is all about, celebrated under the theme: Education Changes Everything!

The Community Development Network is celebrating Menstrual Hygiene Day by hosting an event in Douala, Cameroon. We will provide a training for girls attending the Halte Utile Pour Jeune Fille in Akwa. This is a vocational training school for underprivileged girls in Douala. Besides sharing information about the menstrual cycle and menstrual hygiene, we will also distribute sustainable menstrual hygiene products (cups and panties).
